Despite being set mostly on a train this movie is not as good as an anime series called Baccano! could be that 70’s era train travel isn’t as cool as 30’s?  That’s not really a question though is it? This is the movie with Gene Wilder and hints of Richard Pryor though honestly there is far more Pryor in Superman 3.

*bonus points if you’ve seen Lost Highway or own this soundtrack or Outside, it’s all pretty solid

Mark and Ian talk about this movie from 1955 Marty!  It might be “dirtier” than just about any of these gross out rom-coms the kids eat up these days. It’s the one with this:

Mark and Ian make good on their promise and get back to this Clint classic.  In this movie we learn that too much alcohol can make you think a monkey looks like an old lady.  And that there are … good Neo-Nazis?

In my world there would be a different coloured Hitler behind each door.

We talk about two of the better pictures of 2009 as we play a bit of catch up due to our time away.  Ian also talks about his distrust for documentaries while Seth and Zack talk about Fantasy Sports … NERDS!

Who knows where life will take us but for now this may be the final Futile Podcast.  Though I’m sure it is quite the whimper to the deafness of the void, I say that this will not be the end.

Taking a break from the “high brow” discussion about technology in film I thought I’d post one of the last Futile Podcasts.  There is a few more after this but then things may change a bit so be weary or excited.

Public Enemies review

More like Pubic Enemies as Zack would have you believe.  We discuss this newest of Mann’s films in all it’s crappy video shaky cam goodness.
