  1. I like how you touched on the lack of Presidential involvement. I noted that too as really lazy. If Nolan decided to show the Presidential press conference in Dark Knight Rises when Bane is about to nuke Gotham for a throw-away scene …but NOT in a scenario where aliens are actively destroying Metropolis, then that is just retarded. I mean, is that guy from Knots Landing too busy to make a tiny cameo again? Improperly focusing on that General as the authority figure sans POTUS is lazy. That only seems to work in Marvel movies where the military character will eventually play a long term role (see Gen. Ross, see Col. Rhodie). I didn’t get the sense here that Commander Lock is going to be around long term.
