On the trilogy topic, I disagree( there are lots of variation):
Iron Man 2 is awful
I prefer the first Terminator
First Robocop is the only good one
Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best Indiana Jones
The second Jurassic Park film is the worst one.
I’m not sure who you are disagreeing with. None of what you mentioned were designed as trilogies. A movie series is different. That’s your Indiana Jones, Robocop, Jurassic Park, Terminator, Alien, and probably the Marvel movies in general. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are proper trilogies where the flow of the narrative has the elements we talked about. But yes, even then it is possible to find part 1 or 3 more enjoyable than part 2. But for a movie series all bets are off.
