We discuss how SAW II is like The Godfdather II or Return of the Jedi and we talk about the evolution of the SAW films as they relate to industrialization, the information age, and the post-modern depression of the soul. I think the hobo was named Obi but I’m not sure.

The Only "Good Guy" Dies.
In this hefty one Zack does a quick review of The Proposition (2005) (which we will return to in a later podcast). Then we discuss Alan Moore’s Watchmen comic series. It’s my first time reading this seminal work and I have some pretty heated opinions about Moore and the lesson of the story. We chat about what we like and dislike about anime shows (something I’m sure we’ll return to in greater detail and specificity later).
Zack talks about Beouwulf & Grendel ( dir. Sturla Gunnarsson, 2005). I just nod since and I haven’t read the book or seen the movie.
